Code of conduct & ethics

ICAMI 2026 is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all participants, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or academic seniority. This policy applies to all conference spaces, including presentation halls, poster sessions, social events, and official online channels.

Expected conduct

All participants, including authors, reviewers, session chairs, sponsors, and organizers, are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. Specifically, participants are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with others, including during Q&A sessions and technical disagreements.
  • Refrain from harassment in any form, whether verbal, physical, or written.
  • Respect the boundaries and privacy of fellow attendees.
  • Represent their work honestly and in accordance with established standards of research integrity.

Unacceptable conduct

The following are considered violations of this code and will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive comments targeting personal characteristics or identity.
  • Unwanted physical contact or sexual attention.
  • Deliberate disruption of talks, sessions, or other conference activities.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, or any other form of academic misconduct.
  • Sustained disruptive behavior in any conference space or channel.

Publication ethics

All submitted and accepted papers must adhere to IEEE publication ethics standards. Work must be original, properly attributed, and free from plagiarism. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest relevant to their submission. Simultaneous submission to another venue is not permitted. Violations identified after publication may result in retraction and reporting to the authors' institutions.

Reporting

Any participant who experiences or witnesses a violation is encouraged to report it to the general chairs. Reports will be handled confidentially and with discretion. Retaliation against anyone who files a report in good faith is itself a violation of this code.

Consequences

Violations may result in warnings, removal from the session or venue, revocation of registration without refund, withdrawal of accepted papers, or reporting to the participant's employer or institution, depending on the severity of the conduct.

A finalized version of this policy, aligned with ACM and IEEE community standards, will be published prior to registration opening.
